17 August Wednesday as part of our project to promote the club, we are exhibiting 12 paintings, by five club members, in the Foyer at The Great Hall, Cholsey. The paintings will remain for 2 months, unless sold, when they can be replaced by other members’ work. Not all paintings will be for sale.
Tuesday social evening and non-tutored workshops at 7-9pm. Drop in and have a chat with fellow artists at all levels. It’s a great chance to get back to painting or for those who are starting out. All club members are willing to help new artists.
3 and 4 September – BunkFest weekend – we are having a stall on the Market Place to promote the club and its events. Artists from the club will be demonstrating painting and drawing, members encouraging everyone to try their hand in drawing or painting and there will be a selection of artist’s materials donated by members for budding artists to buy. Proceeds go to support the club’s project “Art into the community”.
13 September, Tuesday Tutored Art classes re commence.
20 September, Tuesday Demonstration is an online live demonstration entitled “Contemporary Landscape” in Oils by Hester Berry. See our Learning page for more details.
We are planning some ‘en plein air’ painting days with tutoring for September and October.
