Workshop: Autumn landscapes

On Saturday 21st October, WADAC is holding a one-day workshop at Centre 70 from 10:00am to 4:00pm, with artist Jonathan Newey giving a demonstration of painting an Autumn landscape using pen and watercolour wash.

During the day you will be shown how to mix the colours of autumn and how to paint skies, trees and buildings in the landscape. Other techniques to be learnt will include sketching with the pen in a loose and lively way. By the end of the day you will have produced a couple of sketches.

Jonathan is an award-winning artist with over 20 years’ experience in both drawing and painting. Born in Reading, he comes from a long line of artists and works in a wide range of mediums and subject matter – but specialises in drawings and paintings inspired by nature.

He is a member of the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation and has been selected for their ‘Wildlife Artist of the Year’ exhibition at the Mall Galleries, London for 7 years. He has over 20 years’ experience as a teacher and lecturer.

His website is at: www.jonathannewey.com.

The workshop costs £40 and WADAC members will be given priority. Attendance is limited to 12, so to reserve your place, please email admin@wallingfordartclub.org.uk
