Our February demo comprises an illustrated talk entitled ‘Art and the Night’ by Robert Kidner. Robert is a club member and resident of Woodcote who has given many illustrated talks to clubs and associations in Oxfordshire, including WADAC.
Robert will display and discuss a series of famous paintings such as ‘Silvery Moonlight’ by John Atkinson Grimshaw and ‘The cafe terrace by night’ by Van Gogh. He will explain in detail the painting, the artists’ thoughts, and will highlight aspects included in the painting that you may have previously missed, together with unique techniques the artist has used to highlight certain areas.
The talk will take place, in person, at Centre 70 after the AGM, and will start at 8.15pm. Members and non-members alike are welcome to the AGM and the presentation. Entry is free for members and £3 for non-members.
