Over 350 art lovers visited our Winter Art Show on 30 November and 1 December 2024 at Centre 70.
Over 100 paintings, prints and cards were on display, from the 27 club members that participated. We sold 17 original paintings (the average price of works sold was a very affordable £62), plus 10 or so limited-edition prints, umpteen art cards, and some ceramics.
Comments were very favourable from those exiting, including praise for the technical ability, variety of styles/mediums, pricing and professionalislm of the event.
We also gathered a dozen or so emails from people who were interested to learn more about the club. Nicola will follow those up, trying to encourage them to attend classes and/or become members. Thanks to everyone who exhibited, and especially those who took part – helping set up and break down the show, do the marketing, PR and poster distribution, and stewarding on the day.
The committee will discuss future events, and start planning the summer show.
