Morning tutor, Claire Cross, is returning to demo a watercolour using salt. Claire is interested in incorporating watercolour mark-making techniques into real paintings. During the demonstration she will be using salt to meaningfully create a beautiful effect in the painting; rather than just adding texture, the salt will ‘paint’ a large part of the picture in an interesting way. We will also look at the different types of salt and the effect they have on watercolour.
