On Saturday 3rd October, Robin Danely will be making a return visit to the Wallingford and District Art Club. She will run a workshop focusing on a portrait in oils or acrylics. This is a follow-up from her enjoyable, instructive demonstration in July last year.
Robin, who lives in Oxford and has featured on Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year, shares her dynamic and expressive approach to painting from life. Working at pace and with a loose, intuitive style, she begins by mapping out the shape and tilt of the model’s head: what she called “the architecture of a good likeness.” Robin’s website with her pictures is well worth a visit. www.robindanely.com
