AGM and talk

WADAC’s Annual General Meeting will take place at 7pm on Tuesday 17 February at Centre 70, where our chairman will give a brief overview of finances for 2025 and plans for 2026.

The AGM will be followed by a short illustrated talk by David Woodward entitled Odd Types – a fascinating journey through the history of typefaces, from Trajan’s Column to the BBC’s new typeface, via Eric Gill and other great designers.

David is a successful graphic designer based in Sonning, Berkshire. He is a former lecturer at Reading University, a published author, and a regular speaker for The Arts Society. He’s also currently learning the skills of life drawing, so brings both professional insight and a practising artist’s perspective to his work. It promises to be an engaging and enjoyable evening.

Free to members and £10 payable on the door for visitors. Email admin@wallingfordartclub.org.uk for admission.
