Mark is an experienced practicing artist and tutor, who works from his studio in Shropshire. He will be giving a demo on creating expressive landscapes using acrylics.
Line and colour is at the heart of his work and this is infomed by sketching and plein air work. Mark finds this is integral to the development of the piece and it sometimes forms part of the work itself.
Mark continues to draw inspiration from the landscape and adores using colour while interpreting the light, contast, weather and a love of materials. He developed his passion for landscapes and seascapes whilst growing up on the Welsh coast. The rolling hills of Shropshire and North Wales enable him to experiment further with colour and line.
Mark runs painting workshops, as well as regularly tutoring painting holidays in the UK, France and Italy.
